Ok this is a new doctor, and I was here early, so let’s see how good they are as far as being timely in honoring their appointments…

Once again waiting in the doctors office, these people are so freaking slow…
I can’t imagine how bad it’ll be if the govt takes it over.
I got here ~10 minutes early for my 3pm, wonder when I’ll actually see someone….

I sent this email to Eye-Fi customer support:

My 4G video share card stops working for no apparent reason…

I am not just talking about transmitting data, it also stops recording data as well, sometimes turning off and on the camera resolves the issue, other times I have to remove the card and reinsert it… This is not on just one camera, the issue occurs on all three cameras (Nikon D90 D5000 and P6000) non of the cameras have a problem with real SD cards, I can shoot all day without issue on any other card except the EyeFi…

I have also noticed that the card gets extremely hot, to the point it is uncomfortable to hold.

I think it is fairly clear and to the point that my Eye-Fi card is not functioning properly, and its not just a wireless problem but its also the ability to take picture as well…

In response to my request I get this from Nick at Eye-Fi customer support:

Thank you for contacting Eye-Fi. I apologize that you are experiencing troubles with your Eye-Fi Card. Please reply with the answers to the following questions so that I may better assist you.

What operating system and version are you using?
What internet browser and version are you using?
What version of the Eye-Fi Card do you own? (Home, Share or Explore)
What size of the Eye-Fi Card are you using? (2GB or 4GB)
Where did you purchase your Eye-Fi Card?
What is your router’s make and model?
What security encryption are you using?
What photo sharing web site are you uploading your photos to?
What version of the Eye-Fi Manager software are you running?
Are you using your Eye-Fi Card in a home or office environment?
What antivirus software are you using?
What firewall are you using?
Were you able to register your Eye-Fi Card?

Which makes it very clear to me that Nick didn’t read a word I wrote, and was only making sure that their next business day response time was honored… I am mainly addressing that the problem is on the card side in the camera, and not really network issue, and I could understand the questions if I was having a problem getting into the manager app or uploading pictures….

I responded to the questions, 2 days ago and now I am waiting on a reply…

Been a rough week…

Monday. had to go to my favorite place on the planet, Falls Church. While I am getting ready to fight South bound traffic on I95 I get a call from my Wife, and I find out that while we thought my son had the Flu, it was actually turning out to be appendicitis, ends up at one Hospital, and a CAT scan shows that it is on the verge of rupturing. mean while my son (12) is all kinds of pissed off that he has to go through all this crap, for something he doesn’t need… Getting reports all the way down from my wife on her fading fast cell. I make it to the Hospital moments before he goes into surgery. Long story short he’s pretty much all better, needs to take it easy for 5 weeks, not an easy task for a twelve year old…

At work got a bunch of of moves going on, bosses are tweaking that its not going to happen on time. 

Glad its over…

First things first, the announcements from apple at this years MacWorld were pretty weak, and life continues…

It gets more and more annoying that every time that apple has an announcement pending, that amount of traffic on non existent products that proliferate any and all news sources for weeks prior to the event. Even more annoying is that immediately following the announcement is that complaints that apple didn’t release any of the items that were in the rumor mill.

The one that really got me this time, was the dual video Mac Mini, why on earth would anyone produce an entry level machine with dual video. Then there were the reports of a dual video mac mini with a 1TB hard drive, cool but why….

This is as plausible as any of the other rumors out there…
